Service Policy

A few ground rules make the process easier for both of us.

This page explains the way I want estimates, approvals, originality, shipping, and warranty questions handled.

01

Estimate & approval

No service beyond the agreed scope should begin without approval. If the scope materially changes, the new work should be discussed first.

02

Originality & cosmetic work

Visible changes such as polishing, dial work, hands, crowns, refinishing, or other irreversible cosmetic decisions should be discussed when they could affect originality or character.

03

Parts availability

Vintage and proprietary parts can be limited or unavailable. If the correct repair depends on a part that cannot reasonably be sourced, I will explain the limitation rather than force a poor substitute.

04

Water resistance

Vintage or previously damaged watches should not be assumed water-resistant. Any water-resistance statement depends on the condition of the case and components and, where appropriate, specific testing.

05

Shipping & declared value

Shipping coverage and repair cost are separate. Declared value is used for shipment planning and does not represent a service estimate.

06

Warranty

The 12-month limited service warranty applies to covered workmanship related to the completed service. Normal wear, accidents, environmental damage, and unrelated failures fall outside that coverage.
